Studer receives the SOLAR IMPULSE label
Everyone knows Bertrand Piccard, the famous Swiss Adventurer! A passionate aeronaut and aviator, Bertrand Piccard takes on challenges considered impossible: He completed the first non-stop round-the-world flight in a balloon and initiated the “Solar Impulse” solar aeroplane project, a flight around the world in 17 stages - taking turns at the controls with André Borschberg - without using a single drop of fuel.
Following on the success of the first solar flight around the world, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation have launched the second phase of their undertaking: to select #1,000 solutions that can protect the environment in a cost-effective way and present them to decision-makers to help them adopt more ambitious environmental goals and energy policies.
As a power electronics specialist for OFFGRID solutions, Studer brings sustainable energy to the most remote regions, qualifying for the Solar Impulse label.
We invite you to discover the Solar Impulse Foundation and its commitment to an ideal solution.
